6 BEST PLACES TO STAY IN BANGALORE!?

If you are planning to visit or relocate to Bangalore this would be your top concern, Here I try to break the locations based on accessibility to the IT Park and connectivity to airport, railway stations and Metro. I am a Bangalore’an and been here for 26 years so these references are based on my vast experience in the city. You can read all about Bangalore here.

All places in Bangalore have a good bus connectivity maintained by BMTC so getting in and around city wouldn’t be a problem. There are lot of taxis like Ola and Uber, and also a huge number of tuk tuk (Auto rickshaws). Majority of metro lines are yet to be interconnected.Beware of Bangalore traffic!

There are different types of accommodation’s available, the most famous and easy ones to get are PG(Paying guest) these are preferred mostly by single/bachelor folks. PG’S offer rooms on sharing basis and are a quick means to stay in the city. PG’s offer good security with average tasting food, WIFI, hot water, TV and sometimes washing machines too along with accommodation. PG’S generally charge upwards of 4.5k depending on the location.

If you are coming down as a family, you also have lot of service apartments. If you are new to Bangalore I would suggest logging on to some of the famous websites such as commonfloor/ magicbricks etc. to check for houses/flats which are available for rent, try to avoid a middleman/broker as they may scam you.

These parameters make a locality best for living;

Location: Nearby IT Parks, Hospitals, Schools, Day care, Parks and Markets. Bangalore is filled with pubs so every location there are plenty of pubs I would suggest Install the Zomato app to visit the top ones.

Connectivity: Distance from the nearest IT Park, Railway station, Airport and Metro.

Overall cost of Living: This would include rent, transportation, daily food expense and other costs.

Accommodation costs: This varies from the type of accommodation you would prefer depending on number of people to the place you are staying at. Staying at an oyo room should cost you around upwards of 1k. However certain lodges rent for much cheaper, but they may not be as clean. Service apartments charge upwards of 3k per day.
