It had been a few months since I had gone out for dinner with my friend , and when she announced that we could go out today it came in as a surprise and my mind immediately started to race as I am a big time foodie I was kind of excited he he. We went through the zomato app to see what was around and since we were in Koramangala already we preferred something nearby. We read through the reviews and ratings of couple of places in and around our location.
My friend said we should probably walk around and see if any new interesting places are open rather than use the app, at first I was kind of sceptical because It usually would take a lot of time and since it was a Saturday evening most places would get crowded soon but later on seemed like good idea as we could judge the places based on our opinion.
As we walked by sure enough most places were crowded and there was a long line of people waiting outside. We came across Café Medley, neatly tucked away in a corner of the street it looked inviting and the ambience of the place was very welcoming to be honest and with a big red board which said COME IN WE ARE OPEN!
However we decided to walk on and check out if any anything else was more appealing than this, we probably walked around for another 10 more minutes and decided to give this place a try. I always love to try out something new and exciting.
We walked in and were told that there was place upstairs, I don’t know for some reason I always preferred places which are on top do you guys prefer that too? Or is something wrong with me ??? lol ! Anyways as we climbed upstairs the ambience was straight out welcoming and it was colourful, we were immediately greeted a gentleman with a warm smile later I found out that he was the owner of the place Vineeth. I noticed there were few seats that are swings I bet it would be fun to sit on those but unfortunately somebody had reserved those before us.
As we got seated we went through the menu and what caught my attention was the menu was mostly Italian and very detail oriented. The menu tried to do justice for those picky eaters, everything was neatly explained and I found it quiet appealing.
I quickly settled for a plate of Spaghetti with Chicken meat balls and my friend ordered a chicken barbecue burger, Peach iced tea and lemon iced tea to go along with it. We were served approximately 20 min later, the Spaghetti was extremely well made and chicken meatballs were delicious as well, they were well seasoned and I liked the texture of the spaghetti was nice and consistent, the garlic bread was a nice add on and made the entire meal very pleasant. The drink however I could not enjoy much as I had a mild cold.
My friends Barbecue burger was quiet nice too , however we both agreed that it needed a little bit more of the barbecue sauce, it was served along with fries and coleslaw and overall the dish was quiet interesting.
I think everything was well except for the fact the washrooms were not that well maintained, but over all I was quiet happy and satisfied with my meal. I would definitely revisit this place and this time probably try out the lasagna I think there a quality and finesse required to make Italian Cuisine and this place definitely on that list. Oh and did I mention that it’s cheap on the wallet too.
There are definitely much better places out there no doubt but considering the factors of price, quality of food, taste, ambiance and crowd I would definitely recommend this if you are in Bangalore.
