Overview on Wealth Management 

Wealth Management and Investment Management Technology (WMIMT) is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical platform behind the products and services used by the Business.
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (WM) is a product of the acquisition of Smith Barney from Citigroup, which was completed in June ‘13. Its core client base is individual investors, small- to medium-size businesses and institutions, and high net worth families and individuals.

In the second half of ‘14, WM reached a milestone, with its business having surpassed $2 trillion in total client assets.

MS Online team with in Wealth Management (WM) develops the Morgan Stanley Online web application which provides comprehensive views of assets and liabilities, quick payments and transfer capabilities, projected income, breaking news, research and much more for the wealth management clients.

The application stack consists of Angular JS ( 1 & 5 ) based web application supported by .NET & Scala based services layer. Application also integrates with core banking and enterprise wide services to enable a range of functionalities. 

Education:  Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science/Engineering

Primary Skills / Must have 

1. Strong understanding of Object Oriented skills and SOLID principles
2. Strong experience of CSS, HTML5, Modular JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks, Advanced JavaScript. 
3. Angular experience is a must unless exceptionally strong in JavaScript and has a similar framework experience.
4. Experience with IE/Chrome Dev Tools. Cross browser development experience.
5. Knowledge of modern web application design, responsive design
6. Strong understanding of Object Oriented skills and SOLID principles
7. Source control (preferably Git), Continuous Integration tools 
8. Knowledge in testing frameworks and test driven development.
9. Driven and self-motivated
10. Strong Analysis and Problem Solving Skills
11. Excellent Communication Skills

Secondary Skills / Desired skills

1. Knowledge in web accessibility. 
2. Exposure with CSS utilities such as LESS, SASS.
3. Excellent understanding of browser internals, and excellent performance tuning skills
4. .Net technologies with an emphasis on C#, ASP.Net, MVC/Web API, WCF.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a developer of MSOnline team, the candidate is expected to 

1. Develop new features for the MSOnline web application thus enabling newer functionalities for the clients. 
2. Lead a functional area / deliverable as required. 
3. Participate in design discussions and contribute to the architecture process.
4. Adhere to application development guidelines and help improve the guidelines
5. Understand and implement security guidelines and best practices.
6. Collaborate as team to deliver complex deliverables
7. Conduct knowledge sharing sessions for the team.
